I’ve been out of school for almost a year, and a part of me misses it. Just because I don’t have any classes anymore doesn’t mean I have to stop learning. I’m like a sponge. I want to know more. There’s so many things that make this world so fascinating and what I do know is that I don’t know enough. Knowledge is power, and by my standards, I don’t have as much power as I’d like.
This evening, I was at my friend Shawn’s place, and he showed us some books he bought after returning from his family trip to Mexico. One of the books was about how to converse in Spanish, and I picked it up. I read the first two chapters in great detail and I realized how Spanish has many similarities to French in its grammar… linguistics are fascinating. Anyway, I figured that if I knew a thing or two in Spanish it would be essential for my nonexistent so-called travel “plans”. Ha!
