The romance of grocery shopping

I usually hate going to the grocery store every week with my parents only for the reason that my dad seems to treat these places as tourist areas. He usually goes through the aisles very slowly, inspecting and comparing all the products. Sometimes grocery trips can take up to two hours. You could easily add a soundtrack to this ritual!

…hey, at least we know packaging designers are doing their jobs right.

En Inglés, por favor?

I’ve been out of school for almost a year, and a part of me misses it. Just because I don’t have any classes anymore doesn’t mean I have to stop learning. I’m like a sponge. I want to know more. There’s so many things that make this world so fascinating and what I do know is that I don’t know enough. Knowledge is power, and by my standards, I don’t have as much power as I’d like.

This evening, I was at my friend Shawn’s place, and he showed us some books he bought after returning from his family trip to Mexico. One of the books was about how to converse in Spanish, and I picked it up. I read the first two chapters in great detail and I realized how Spanish has many similarities to French in its grammar… linguistics are fascinating. Anyway, I figured that if I knew a thing or two in Spanish it would be essential for my nonexistent so-called travel “plans”. Ha!
